Life With The Guingona’s was created by moi. That’s right… Hi. I’m RJ Dancel, a 20-something newbie millennial mom and the brains behind this site. Why the sudden shift? Well, I just realized that I keep on talking about my boys, so why not just shift the whole entire site and make it about our family adventures, discoveries, and ramblings.
A full-time digital and pr associate, a business major graduate, philosophy junkie (and graduate), and a first-time mom — that summarizes me…. Mommy RJ. I’ve been blogging since high school, but never had the guts to make people read what I write. I remember deleting so many WordPress accounts (back then) ’cause I was either not satisfied, or ashamed, with what I wrote. Now, though, with everything that’s been going on, and all the stuff I’m getting myself into (whether I like it or not), I can write meaningful, relatable things… or you know, just my random ramblings.
These are the 2 boys who have changed my life so much. Bobby, a soon-to-be-chef (he’s graduating this year yay) and our little human, Yñigo. Oh how time flies when you’re parents, you’re juggling life, and raising a burrito. Haha.
Here, I (or Bobby) write about our lives as a small time family living in the present times. Personally, I may not be the best writer out there, nor do I feel like I was ever a natural born writer. At times, I feel like I try to hard… but at least I try. In this blog, I write my thoughts and musings, in a way that is never contrived, sometimes awkward (my writing style is meh), and always real. I am passionate about being a mother, but all that’s pretty new. You need more…. so expect stories on life, love, baby, and everything out and about with #TheWanderSocietyPH.
… and stories that inspire. We also started a Youtube channel called which you can check here!
Really, I’m just like your regular girl trying to figure out her way through life with her two boys in tow. I struggle with being able to balance everything. I struggle with insecurities. I don’t think I’ll ever see, or acknowledge myself, as a good writer. But I’m happy to share my stories; as they might perhaps connect with an experience or anecdote. That’s what makes this life (and this blog) an adventure — and I’m ecstatic and stoked you’re here to share ’em with.
